Processing Time
All items are handmade in small batches.
Your order will usually ship within:
- 1–3 business days for ready-to-ship items
- 3–7 business days for made-to-order glass items
- 1-3 weeks for made-to-order wood and ceramics
- Custom orders may require additional time (details provided during ordering)
You will receive an email notification when your order has been shipped.
Shipping Method
Island Glass Works ships through:
- Canada Post
- UPS/Fed Ex
- Upgraded shipping speeds available (when available)
At this time, delivery delays may occur due to Canada Post’s ongoing service issues.

Local Pickup
Local pickup in the Torbay / St. John’s area is available upon request.
Please contact me before ordering if you’d prefer to pick up instead of ship.
Packaging
Every item is packed with care using:
- Protective wrap
- Strong boxes
- Cushioning to keep fragile items safe
I try to reuse clean packing materials when possible to reduce waste.
International Shipping
International shipping is available to select countries.
Please note:
- Buyers are responsible for customs fees, duties, and import charges.
- For U.S. customers, I ship using DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), which means duties and import fees are paid on my end — you won’t receive extra charges on delivery.
- Shipping times vary depending on the destination.
If you don’t see your country at checkout, feel free to contact me — I may be able to add it manually.
Lost or Delayed Packages
Once a package is accepted by the carrier, transit delays are out of my control.
If your order seems delayed:
- Check the tracking number in your shipping confirmation
- Contact me if the item hasn’t moved in 10+ business days
I will assist however I can, but Canada Post may require additional time during strikes or peak seasons.
Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged:
- Take photos of the item and packaging
- Contact me within 48 hours
I will replace the item (when possible) or issue a refund.
