Welcome to Island Glass Works — Behind the Flame
Hi everyone! I’m Julia, the glass artist behind Island Glass Works — a tiny studio tucked away in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada where every piece is made individually by hand.
This website has been a long time in the making, and I’m so excited to finally start sharing updates, new projects, and glimpses behind the scenes.
What I Make
At Island Glass Works, we create a mix of handcrafted pieces, including:
- flame-worked glass (marbles, sculptures, miniatures, pearls, caps, and more)
- hand-finished woodwork (holders, décor, small functional pieces)
- small-batch ceramics and mixed-media art
Most items are made in small batches or as one-of-a-kind pieces.
Behind the Scenes
I’ll be using this blog to share:
- new product launches
- work-in-progress photos
- glassworking sessions at the torch
- wood projects happening in the shop
- tips on caring for handmade items
- deals, giveaways, and upcoming shop updates
If you enjoy handmade craftsmanship, this will be a fun place to follow along.
Thank You
Thank you for supporting small handmade work.
Every purchase, message, and follow truly makes a difference and helps keep this little studio going.
